Although I am at DotNetNuke Community Edition version 5.6.3, my DotNetNuke Telerick Web Components are at 5.6.2... if there is a reason for this I am unaware of it.

When attempting to upgrade to 5.6.6 (in preparation for an upgrade to 6.1.2) I receive the following error messsages:
00:00:07.566 -   Installing Package File Telerik_05.06.03_Install:  Error!
00:00:08.548 -   Installing Package File Telerik_06.00.00_Install:  Error!
00:00:14.913 -   Installing Package File CoreSitemapProvider_05.06.03_Install:  Error!
00:00:15.085 -   Installing Package File CoreSitemapProvider_05.06.06_Install:  Error!
00:00:28.969 -   Installing Package File TelerikEditorProvider_05.06.03_Install:  Error!


The site still launches, dispite these errors, but the Telerick controls remain at 5.6.2. When I complete the process and do the 6.1.2 upgrade, I get no error messages on install, but the site will not launch.


Can anybody help me out as to why this is happening?

I notice in another post (below) that now "When a package has a version number equal to the currently installed package" that the 6.0.0 Telerick package will be installed. This might be my problem... since my install version is 5.6.3 and my Telerick controls are version 5.6.2.. so, a new version does not get installed. Could that be the case? If so, how do I get around this?

[@Craig - Now that we are very aware of this problem, we will be sure to prevent it from happening again. Any future security releases of 5.6.x will ship with a Telerik package versioned 6.0.0. When a package has a version number equal to the currently installed package, it will be installed. And of course the upcoming 6.0.0 release will also have a package versioned 6.0.0, so having a 6.0.0 version should cause no problems with future upgrades. ]
