Hello!.

I'm trying to upgrade from DNN 4.0.3 to 4.3 and I find this warning:

- - -

Upgrading DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 04.03.00
Current Database Version: 04.00.03

00: - Executing Script: E:\dnn\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\Upgrade.SqlDataProvider

Warning: The Users Table contains duplicate user names - possibility of destroying User Data

Click Here To Upgrade DotNetNuke Anyway

- - -

Any idea about the reason?. Of course, I have checked the Users Table and there are no duplicates at all.

David

this message is displayed as well in multiportal environments, where users with same name (e.g. "administrator") reside in various portals.

Thanks Sebastian for your message.

Do I have to "Click Here To Upgrade DotNetNuke Anyway" ?

The warning says "Warning: The Users Table contains duplicate user names - possibility of destroying User Data" and I'm not sure about how to proceed.

Thanks
David

David,

short answer: yes - you do not have an option (except not upgrading at all).

Thanks Sebastian for your message.

I know that there is no option available when this warning is shown, but what I would like to know is the exactly meaning of "possibility of destroying User Data" ... Should I go ahead without taking this warning into account (considering that the warning appears because I'm in a multiportal environment) or there is a real chance of loosing user data and, in that case, what would be the right way to proceed?.

Thanks
David
