Is it just me, or is anyone else scratching their head as to why the dnn6.1 installer now doesn’t create an admin account?

Instead it now it sets the host account as the default portal admin.

If this is supposed to streamline the install they didn’t put much thought into it.

I see it this way,

Modules that rely on a portal admin that is not a “super user” will require an admin account to be created and the portal default admin set to this account.

Emails sent to the default admin will be sent to the host.

Users will need to create an admin account and set it as the portal “default admin” requiring many more steps just to setup dnn properly.

I created a Gemini here.
