I tried to upgrade my ver. 4.0.3 to 4.3.0.
First time I copied new files over existing 4.0.3 installation and after accessing DNN over IE I got following error:

Upgrading DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 04.03.00

Current Database Version: 04.00.03

00:00:00.046 - Executing Script: D:\WebPrj\DNN\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\Upgrade.SqlDataProvider

Warning:

Invalid object name 'dnn_Users'.

Click Here To Upgrade DotNetNuke Anyway

When I click to upgrade it doesn't work.

Then I upzipped DNNUpgrade in separate folder and tried to run it with my 4.0.3 DB and I got same error.
Web.config is changed according to documentation that came with ver. 4.0.3 (SQL connection strings and machineKey) but it doesn't work.

When I try new installation with empty DB that works ok.

Is there anything else what I have to do?

Thanks,
Oliver

I had something similar first time I upgraded. Sounds like a problem with the objectQualifier attribute in web.config. Try looking for this:  objectQualifier="dnn".  If you find that, I think it means the scripts are going to look for tables in your database named "dnn_[whatever]", like "dnn_Users" etc. If you look in your actual database and the tables don't have any prefix like that, or they have something different, like "fubar_Users", then the objectQualifier is probably wrong. Set it either to "" (if you have no prefix) or to "fubar", or whatever your prefix is.

Warning - I'm new to this, not an expert. Hope it helps.
