Hello to everyone

I have just downloaded dnn6 community edition

when i tried to run it on iis 5 or iis6 I got this message:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: L'utilisation d'une section inscrite comme allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' au-delà du niveau d'application est une erreur. Cette erreur peut provenir d'un répertoire virtuel non configuré en tant qu'application dans IIS.

when I run it from VS2010 it is OK

I finally designed my entire site on VS2010 now I'm trying to deploy it on windows server 2003

please help

please make sure NOT to have a web.config file in a sub directory and install DNN in the source directory of your IIS web site.

PS: AFAIK, DNN 5 is no longer supported. You need to have .Net 3.5 SP1 or .Net 4.0 installed.

I finally succeded in installing dnn6 on II6 on II5;

it was a problem of writting access
