Hello all.

I've read the post titled FAQ: Moving a DNN installation by Erik van Ballegoij. I just want to be clear before moving a client's site that he depends on for a living. Right now I have the site set up at www.dnnexample.com so that the client can see the site and approve any changes. The client's site is currently at www.client-site.com.

Do I just add www.client-site.com as an alias and point the DNS record to the new DNS servers? Is that all that's needed? It'd be a disastrous if this client's site is down even for a few hours.

You have to add the new domain as an alias on the DNN Site settings, and on the IIS.  Then point the DNS record to the new DNS servers.
