I do acknowledge that TCP/IP is enabled in both server and client. I did double check in SSCM.

Also I am running sql server on my local machine and test locally.

I dont' think so there is any problem in connection string. Because it creates some tables in my database even thought after it fails. But the installation is not completed.

I am so confused as it pass the folder permission but it does not create any log.

Also how come it creates some tables and then fail for some reason?

I thought my copy is corrupted so I downloaded the zip package of community edition and Unblock the zip file and extract the file and went through all process again, but still same issue.

Again I am not new to website and application and working as a web developer but this time got no clue what can be wrong! I really want to make this work as I have promised to my client to make a website under this cms.

Could it be that you the user to the new created database and you checked the dbOwner to enabled, but did not set the schema in line of the asignment of the user to the database ?  Basicly the schema should be 'dbo' but it could be also the username or a other schema.  Ths is what I discripte before in my post.  Please notice dbo is not the dbOwner property - dbo is a SQL Security Schema.

Well I followed the video on your website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBT__8LUKtk

in minute 27 it just map the user to the db_owner but does not change the Schema. Anyway I did what you told. These are steps I am doing:

1-  in SSMS under my Server->Security->Logins-> Right click on my username(mycms)->Properties-> User Mapping

2- Select my database name(myDotnetnuke) and the user is mycms. Under the Default Schema column I click and expand the schema. From the Browse list I use db_owner(there is no username as you told!). click OK.

3- Under database role membership I chose db_owner and click OK.

But again the same error

Installing Database - Version 06.00.00...FAILURE ERROR: See D:\dotnetnuke\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\06.00.00.log.resources for more information

and no error file but web.config has changed and I have some tables on my database(myDotnetnuke)
