I am having issues installing DNN on my Windows 7 machine. Im trying to install it just by going to http://localhost/dontnetnuke and I am immediately met with this error. I extracted the files that I copied from another machine, and then I copied them into a folder in my inetpub/wwwroot folder. I gave permissions to the user for the DefaultAppPool (which is the pool the site is using). After all this I am still getting the error any idea on what is causing this error and how I can fix it?

If you extracted to "dontnetnuke " folder then make sure to set this folder as application on IIS manager. On IIS, just navigate to it and right click then select "convert to application".
