Hi..

I am new to this, i have tried to install DNN from webmatrix.

i have webmatrix 2 on my pc, i go to App Gallery -> DNN -> next -> i am getting on the PREREQUISITES , SQL Server (nstalled) and the administrator password. 

the thing is that it is only one SQL server option. can any one please tell me in one simple way what to do..?

Basicly before install DNN you have to create database on MS SQL Server.  If MS SQL Server is installed you can use the SQL Server Management Studio (could be you have to install it first) to Change the security and Password.  Basicly the 'sa' Password is set by installing the SQL Server and using Windows and SQL Server authentication.

So be sure SQL Server authentication is enabled, then active if it is not the 'sa' account and change the password on security tab of the SQL Server on the Login properties.

Hi..

I have tried to change the password of the sa user. from security -> login -> sa

and i restarted all SQL services but still not working.!

are you using an attached database or does your connection string include "database.mdf"?

sorry, but what connection string are you talking about..? what i have is a sql server express, i have created 

a new database, but my problem is whenever i try to install the the DNN and it is in the prerequisites i have to enter the sa password, i don't get any further to select any database.
