Hi!

I'm experiencing a problem while trying to install DNN7 RC via VS 2010. Whether it's custom or auto installation, the installation just stuck at 0% progress no matter how long you will wait.

Can you suggest smth.?

Thanks!

Hello,

When doing an install from a development environment, ensure you have a clean unmodified DotNetNuke.Install.Config file, also ensure you do not have a pre-existing "installstat.log.resources.txt" file located in the ~/website/install folder, where both of these files can be found.

Sometimes the Development environment gets "dirty" and subsequent dev installs do not work as expected. You'll need a clean DotNetNuke.Install.Config file for each subsequent dev install.

As Sunny mentioned,it could be javascript related, so check your browser development tools to see if any console errors pop up.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for answer, Vincent.

I've checked console and found one repeating script error.

Can that be the reason of the installing failure from a development environment?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

It does appear that there is a javascript error, which could in fact be the reason why the progress bar is not being updated.

Check the "installstat.log.resources.txt" file and see if your install actually does complete. You may be able to browse to your website even though it may not appear to be complete.
