Hello,

I've installed DNN 7 on a Windows 2012 Server with SQL Server 2012 (IIS7) by following Chris Hammond's four (4) part video tutorial. That was the easy part. When I try to run the installation wizard I receive the following error message:

HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error

The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.

Config Error
This configuration section cannot be used at this path. This happens when the section is locked at a parent level. Locking is either by default (overrideModeDefault="Deny"), or set explicitly by a location tag with overrideMode="Deny" or the legacy allowOverride="false".

Config Source:
87: </modules>
88: <handlers>
89: <
remove name="WebServiceHandlerFactory-Integrated"/>

Has anyone experience a similar issue or know of a solution?

Thanks

Hello,

I deleted the DNN files and database and started from scratch. I followed the 4 part video again and it worked on the second try. I was not able to determine what caused the initial error message.

Cheers
