Hi - when upgrading from 6.2.2 to 7.0 I get the following error. The DNN site is still there - kind of... That's an odd one . . . . it appears that the upgrade failed almost immediately after it started because the log file was in use by another process. Although we might try forcing the upgrade to restart it would be safer to restore the site from the pre-upgrade backups of the filesystem and database and re-do the upgrade in it's entirety. Before re-doing the upgrade, double check that the ASP.Net worker process account has been granted full permissions on the root folder of the installation and its child folders. Also if you are installing locally, I'd disable any anti-virus software or file indexing services as those might have been accessing the log file at the same moment you tried to upgrade, though I've never seen this issue before.

Should you decide to force the upgrade to restart without restoring from the backups, try navigating to:
mysite.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade
