Hi!

I have a new installed DNN 7 where I have set edit permissions to modules for a role. After upgrade to DNN 7.0.1 the users won´t get the pen icon anymore when choosing 'Edit this page' from the controlpanel. So my module 'editors' of the site are no longer able to edit their content.

Anyone else getting this error? Should it be reported as a bug?

Kind regards

Petri

I can confirm that this is a bug in 7.0.1 CE with MODULE edit permissions at least on the HTML module, need to test out a few other modules to see if it is just limited to that.

I can confirm this effects more than just the HTML module, I'm escalating this issue ASAP

I was experiencing the same problem and needed a fix quick.

Ended up downloading the source code for both 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 and recreating the dotnetnuke.dll.

Not sure if it's the most elegant solution but it works.

Thanks for your quick responses.
For me it ended up with a rollback to DNN 7.0

For me it´s almost unbelievable that this issue went through the release process. But sadly this is propably not the last time with different versions for CE and PE. I have been following DNN since DNN 2, and I have absolutely nothing against DNN corporation wanting to charge for support etc. But I disagree with releasing different versions. I am sure if this has happened in PE, or if PE and CE had been same, it had never went through.
