Hi,

We have multiple instances of dnn with a single website. All various version of DNN.

I would like to spin up a new version of DNN in the cloud & my question is, is it possible to move a dnn instance to a child of another instance?

In otherwords consolidating all of my dnn sites to the one instance of DNN?

If possible, anything i need to look out for?

Thanks in advance

You could possible move data from your original database to the new one but I think that would be a lot of work with some manual changes to the data.

If possible, I'd build the site as a new child on your second DNN install.

Yeah, there are too many factors that can go wrong if you are trying to move DB data across two separate installations of DNN. I would do what mark suggested and start fresh and rebuild the portals.

Is this more of a consolidation type issue, what exactly are you trying to accomplish?
