Hello All,

 Can anyone suggest me  Why Does My DotNetNuke Site Start So Slow ?

Hi,

does it only need some time to come up? The reason for this could be that the AppPool is "going to sleep" after being idle for a while (normally 20 minutes) and has to "wake up" at a request.

To avoid this, you can increase this time period or use a ping service, e.g. http://www.dnnmonitor.com.

It's because you have no users. :)

If you get more traffic, the ASP.NET page and app pool cashing stay active. Then you never go through a strat up process.

on your own server, you may configure the app pool not to be recycled after 20 mins of inactivity, another option is using a monitoring service like monitor.us, which frequently (at least every 15 mins) pings your website
