I am trying to re-install DNN on my host. The database is SQL Server 2010 R2 and IIS 7 set to .NET Framework 4.0. I upload the DNN install files to my host server, no issue. The database has been cleaned out using the drop procedures and drop tables. I go to my webpage and to set up the site, entry in all information. I get to about 15% and then I start with the following error:  15% ERROR:Value cannot be null. Parameter name: v1....when I open the logs I get this information: 3:42:40 [ERROR] DotNetNuke.Services.Upgrade.Upgrade System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): There is already an object name 'GetSortSql' in the database.

Any ideas??

Jim

Why can't you just delete the database and then recreate it via the host's panel?

If you are performing a re-install and you don't need to save anything I don't see why you have to use the existing database when you can just delete it and recreate a new one with the recommended settings for it per DNN documentation.

Everything was fresh and clean. There were no database tables or stored procedures. That is why I am confused.

Ahhh, but there are more that just stored procedures and tables in a database. For example, I just checked against my DNN Database and the object 'GetSortSql' is actually a scalar-value function.

Rather than try and "clean" out a database why can't you just delete and recreate it?
