Hello,

I have installed a dnn site on a hosting server. The site are to slow and, most of time we get 503 error. The environment runs  cluster.
I wonder if this environment is the reasen of problems with the site. I think it is the first Dnn site they are hosting. Is there a documentation about how to menage best settings for Dnn?

Thanks.

Couple of things to understand - the community edition of dnn only works on webfarm based systems where the file system is shared between all nodes in the cluster.   Also you need to make sure the web.config has the is webfarm setting checked - so that dnn knows it needs to work differently.

If you need a system that runs without a shared file system then you would need to look at the professional version of dnn ...

But to be honest - content management systems like dnn are complex applications - that really should be hosted with someone that understands the environment.

I can emphasize to strongly the need for using a hosting company that knows asp.net and dnn - have a good look at www.powerdnn.com for example.

Hey.
Very good views and agree with you completely. Will change the settings in config file  for webfarm.

Best regards
