These is what I had to do to fix the problem:

  • I renamed the files DesktopModules/Admin/Security/password.ascx and DesktopModules/Admin/Security/password.ascx.cs
  • Clicked the login button and he event table showed that the file password was missing
  • I changed the files to the original name and cliked the login button. This time showed up a different error in the event table

    DesktopModules\Admin\Authentication\Login.ascx.cs(1023): error CS0433: The type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.Password' exists in both 'c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\cdab9edb\6d0db63e\App_Web_rzfiovgg.dll' and 'c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\cdab9edb\6d0db63e\App_Web_ljprhfgt.dll'

Then, I deleted those 2 files App_Web_rzfiovgg.dll and App_Web_ljprhfgt.dll, clicked the login button and now I am able to enter my login information.
