Hi Guys

I just wanted to get your thoughts on which version of MS SQL Server should 4.3.1 run on?

If we run DNN 4.3.1 on MS SQL Server 2005 will DNN work better or will we get extra funtionality?

Kind Regards

Here are my thoughts,

You won't get any additional functionality with going to SQL 2005 on the DNN side. (Not as far as I see.)

Through some basic tests of SP's we have running on SQL 2000 and another application, we have found in the range of 28% increase in performance. Though I don't think you will see this much increase in DNN if you switch to SQL 2005 because I don't think it does any heavy processing of information.

I think they have done significant improvements in DNN 4.3.1 itself that makes it faster.

So in the end I think its going to be your choice. (Cost?)

Jeff
