Hi There. The Dotnetduke installation  is driving me crazy, please I need your help. I tried to install it in several ways without success. I saw almost all the videos and blogs about Dotnetduke installation but I did not find the solution. According tutorials, after doing a few steps , In the last step where the dotnetnuke installation wizard page has to appear I got the following message: "Server not found". Please help me. Thanks a lot.

Hi Victor,

Can you give us more details? For example, what version of DNN are you attempting to install? What OS are you using? What version of SQL Server? Stuff like that can help determine root cause.

Victor,

what is the Url of your installation? If this is some local maachine (your PC for example), and the Url shall be something like http://dotnetnuke.local then do not forget to add this Url to your hosts file (because otherwise it cannot be found).

Best wishes
Michael

Hi Michael. I am using Install pakage "DotNetNuke_Community_07.00.06_Install", IIS 7, Sql Server Managment Studio  2012,  Windows 7. I did all the steps of the DotNetNuke Installation Instructions that is in the Dotnetnuke website. According the installation instructions says that after doing a few configs, the dotnetnuke instalation wizard will appear with just going to the browser and write the domain or http://localhost/WEBSITENAME, in my case I created a new folder (C:\websites\portal-callegari.local) instead of using "C:\inetpub\wwwroot" and then I put "DotNetNuke_Community_07.00.06_Install" in there. Help me please. Thank you.
