source package of DNN needs to be installed to run. You may unzip install package into Website subdirectory (which needs to be root for your IIS website), to get your website to run.

Your suggestion worked out after unzipping the install package in the directory folder.

However, in previous versions in DNN i did not have to do this approach. i just had to unzip source control , rename realse.config to web.config add to website to IIS and build the website and it will work fine.

Why in 7.2.1 i should extract the DNN install version in the root folder of my source package ?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards.

Is 7.x install package compatible with Visual Web Developper 2010?
Install hangs at 0% for hours.

AFAIK DNN 7 requires Visual Studio 2012.
