I just upgraded from version 7.00.06 to version 7.02.00. Everything appears to have gone fine except that now I can't edit pages. I click on Edit Page/Edit This Page on the control bar and nothing happens.

I am running .NET Framework 4.0. As for jQuery, the settings are:

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.1/jquery.min.js

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.13/jquery-ui.min.js

Everything worked perfectly before. I've tried clearing cookies, running my browser in incognito mode -- all with no luck. I have tried IE, Chrome and Firefox -- same bad result.

Any advice on how I fix this?

Thanks.

I noticed a similar issue on a test upgrade where the jQuery version numbers used in the two CDN urls did not get updated. The jQuery and jQueryUI hosted CDN urls for DNN 7.2.0 should be:

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.10.3/jquery-ui.min.js

Unfortunately I updated the jQuery settings but no improvement. It must be something else.

I have now isolated the problem but have no solution.

The problem is with a skin that I purchased -- Optimum from  bestdnnskins.com. I created an install of the default DNN website using v7.02.00 and everything works perfectly. I uploaded the Optimum skin to the website and created a page using  site. I installed Optimum Skin on the demo web site and created a test page using an Optimum Skin (Optimum-RoyalBlue-StandardMenu-Inner) and a container (Optimum-RoyalBlue-BlackTitle).  On my test page, the ""Edit Page/Edit This Page" control on the RibbonBar doesn't work.

So it looks like the Optimum skin breaks DNN v7.02.00. I've contacted bestdnnskins.com. This is a responsive skin, so I am guessing that some of the JavaScript in the skin clashes with v7.02.00 but this is just a wild guess on my part.

I am rather surprised that upgrading from v7.00.00 to v7.02.00 would cause a skin to break. Can anyone offer me any insight into this? Thanks.

Could be the skin relies on a different version of jQuery; or loads a different version without taking proper precautions.

Or it may not be javascript at all. Responsive does not imply javascript.
