Hi,

I recently did an upgrade from 7.01 to 7.03 and it seemed to go smoothly since I didn't see any error. When I view and browsed all my pages they all looked good. However, when I tried to login, it gave me a blank page with just my header banner on it. All the fields are gone. I can't get in to maintain my pages. How do I get back in?

I've found several posts about this but no workable solutions. I've check my database and the CustomLoginID is Null, and I don't seemed to see any error message on my EventLog. My site is hosted remotely at Seekdotnet.com. I'd rather not revert back to my backup if necessary. They only thing I can think of that may affect it would be a failed install of a blog module I did several monthly back which gave me an failed install error. I fear that it may have left a certain traces of codes that may cause an upgrade issue.

Any suggestion or solution?

did you use a custom Login page? if you are having access to your database, check PortalLocalization table and make sure, logintabID is Null.

H Sebastian,

No I didn't have custom login page. It is the standard login.
I did check and the loginTabID is Null.

I had found some post with these information too but they weren't very useful. Do I have any other options left?

Thanks!

there might be an issue with Registration of User&Roles module. You need to compare ModuleDefinitions and ModuleControls table with a new (properly working) install.

I've installed a local copy using WebMatrix to be used as a comparison. For the most part they are the same except that I have more entries on tables from the actual site since I have installed more modules.

For the ModuleDefinition, and one minor difference is:

ModuleDefID: 98
FriendlyName (at Site): Gooddogs Dashboard
FriendlyName (at WebMatrix): Dashboard

These two items are found in WebMatrix but not from the site's table: (The spaces on the names are intentionally shown as is)
ModuleDefID: 109
FriendlyName: ProfessionalPreview

ModuleDefID: 112
FriendlyName: Module Creator

Similar issue with the ModuleControls table as the missing items do not have an ID to be tied into this table.

What's the next thing I should be look for?
