Newbie question as this is my first time installing DNN.  I followed some online videos from DNN and believe I have it setup correctly on Windows 8.1.  I set up the 'www.dnndev.me' and the installation wizard comes up but none of the images are showing up.  When I look at the image url for the logo it points to "http://www.dnndev.me/images/Branding/DNN_logo.png".  The DNN_Logo.png image is in the images/branding folder on my local computer.

Is there something I'm missing that's not letting the images show up?

Thanks,

Kyle Fitzgerald

if images and css files are missing, there are missing permission in file system for anonymous web users (need read permission)

Sebastian,

Thanks for the response.  I followed the 4 videos from DNN to set it up.  I created a folder on my C drive called websites and a folder in it called 'dnndev.me' and copied the DNN install contents into it.  Next, I went into IIS and created a new website and pointed it to the 'dnndev.me' folder and gave it the address 'http://www.dnndev.me' as instructed in the video (it seems they have that domain setup to point back to your localhost).  I followed the steps to set

I accidentally hit submit before I was done typing if half of this message shows up before this one...

Sebastian,

Thanks for the response.  I setup DNN following a series of 4 videos from the DNN website.  I created a folder on my C drive called websites and then inside that folder create another folder called 'Dnndev.me'.  I copied the contents of the DNN Install download into the Dnndev.me folder.  Next, I went into IIS and created a new website and pointed it to the folder I just created and made the host name 'www.dnndev.me' as instructed in the video (it seems they have that domain setup to point back to your localhost?).  Finally, I right clicked on the 'Dnndev.me' folder and went into properties-->security and added a new user called 'iis apppool\dnndev.me' and when I clicked check names it found it as dnndev.me.  I gave the dnndev.me user full control.

Is there something else with permissions that is needed?

Anyone have thoughts on this issue?  I can open up the image in the folder but browsing to it using the following url, 'http://www.dnndev.me/images/Branding/DNN_logo.png' gives me a blank page.  How do I add anonymous web user for this site like Sebastian suggests?  On the dnndev.me folder under the security tab I have IUSR, GUEST, USERS, dnndev.me all with at least read permissions.  Any help would be appreciated, I'm trying to work with a Non-Profit to switch over to DNN instead of Drupal.

Thanks
