This is my first time to ever work with DNN. I just finished installing DNN for the first time.

When viewing the website, the CSS is not rendering. It does not make a difference if I am logged into DNN as admin or not. When using Firebug, it does not find any CSS.  If i go to http://myfirstdnnwebsite.com/portals/0/portal.css, the CSS source code is displayed. Any suggestions on what to do in order to get CSS working properly with web pages?

Notes about my website:

  • I am using a shared hosting service for my website.
  • All configurations of my website are made using WebPannel Version 1.2.1.
  • I am running the following: DNN 07.04.00, IIS 7.5, .NET 4.0 with integrated pipeline, SQL Server 2008.
  • All my files are in the following directory structure:  myfirstdnnwebsite.com/wwwroot/{all DNN files and folders located here}
  • When viewing File/Folder permissions for all items inside the wwwroot folder, myfirstdnnwebsite.com has read and write permissions enabled. Network Services does not have read and write permissions enabled.
  • "Enable Write Permissions" and "Dedicated Application Pool" are enabled under security settings.
  • "Allow Anonymous Access"  and "Enable Basic Authentication" enabled.

Thanks for your help!

Honestly, I would try wiping your install and starting again if you can. If you haven't configured things, it'll likely be easier to start over than to try and repair if for some reason the install went bad.

Thanks for your help. Re-installing resolved the issue.

Glad to hear! You honestly could have spent hours trying to track down the issue, so reinstalling if possible is always the first thing to try :D
