Hi,

I have following the 4 videos series on how to install dnn 7.

I am on my last video and can't finish the installation.  The problem is that the http://www.dnndev.me will not open, instead I got "Welcome to nginx!".

Any ideas,

the URL might be blocked by a firewall, I suggest editing hosts file and use a custom name, mapped to your local IIS website (e.g. "DNN")

Thank you.  Got a different problem.

I edited my hosts file in my system32/driver/etc directory.

Added an entry.

127.0.0.1 dnndev742

 

to my hosts file.

When I type http://dnndev742 in my browser, I got the IIS welcome page.

Does that mean I have to use a different port number?

Jason, if you're using that URL, you will need to add that as a BINDING in IIS to the site you setup.

So, What am I missing?  I follow your videos and it failed to open the InstallWizard.aspx.

Where did I go wrong?
