Hello, We are having issues with the new DNN 8.0.3 Community installation . Most notably the following two issues.

I believe the issue is that it cannot find the default.css file. When viewing a page through Firebug we see "https://{site}/Resources/Shared/stylesheets/dnndefault/7.0.0/default.css?cdv=39" 404 Not Found error.

In DNN 8.0.3 Community there are 2 CSS classes folder under "\Resources\Shared\stylesheets\dnndefault", one is 7.0.0 and other 8.0.0 . but its not accessible in the site and giving below error

"Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) : http://abc.com/Resources/Shared/stylesheets/dnndefault/7.0.0/default.css?refresh" error when checked in browser console.

So for that, portal design layout going to break and portal functionality not working.

How we resolve the css issue? Please suggest.

Try putting a static file (JPG or HTML) in the root of the site and accessing it via a browser. If that errors, check your IIS settings to make sure static content is enabled.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply

I am able to accessing other image files & html files via browser. But when i portal trying to access

http://abc.com/Resources/Shared/stylesheets/dnndefault/7.0.0/default.css

its giving below error.
Requested URL http://abc.com/Rejected-By-UrlScan?~/Resources/Shared/stylesheets/dnndefault/7.0.0/default.css?refresh
Physical Path C:\dnnwebsites\eSchool\Rejected-By-UrlScan
Logon Method Anonymous
Logon User Anonymous

I think main root cause (Rejected-By-UrlScan) of the above error is 7.0.0 dots value in url . when i remove dots in url it's not giving any error. How can i resolve this issue?

That sounds like an issue related to your network, not DNN

Normally, you don't want to allow directory traversing in URLs like /../ however single . in the middle of folder and file names should be allowed so a file like 7.0.0/default.css is a valid filename.  Do you have access to update the URLScan rules? If you can't change the rules, then you might need to craft a custom directive in your skin to identify the CSS file using a path that doesn't include .  I'll see if I can find an example that you can add to your skin files.
