I'm trying to reinstall the editor, and I found these instructions, but I can't find the .zip for 8.04.

Install Zip File {"CKHtmlEditorProvider_02.xx.xx_Install_DNN8.zip"} ONLY For DotNetNuke 08.00.00 (or higher), as new Extension (Host->Extensions->Install Extension Wizard)

Can someone point me in the right directions?

Forget it. For those other folks who are lost, make sure you go to the "Releases" tab and all is there. You don't have to build the release yourself.

Actually, no, it installed a NEW editor and not the DNNConnect.CKE Editor. It installed CKHmtlEditorProvider. I can choose between the two. DNNConnect.CKE doesn't have rich text editor and CKHmtlEditorProvider DOES have rich text editor.

I got the link for this editor from somewhere on this site. Are they the same editor but one is upgraded or is it a different editor?

Should I just blow up the entire installation and start fresh?

It is the "same" editor (CK), but a different provider and maybe another version of the CK editor. One is being developed by Ingo Herbote (this one: https://github.com/w8tcha/dnnckeditor), the other one, which is included in the DNN installation package, by the DNN Connect association (https://github.com/DNN-Connect/CKEdit...).

The first one is the "original" if you want. You can choose between the two after you installed the second one, my personal preference is the first one.

Happy DNNing!
Michael
