DotNetNuke Configuration Error

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

DotNetNuke has extensive file upload capabilities for content, modules, and skins. These features require custom security settings so that the application is able to create and remove files in your website.

Using Windows Explorer, browse to the root folder of the website ( C:\DotNetNuke by default ). Right-click the folder and select Sharing and Security from the popup menu ( please note that if you are using Windows XP you may need to Enable Simple File Sharing before these options are displayed ). Select the Security tab. Add the appropriate User Account and set the Permissions.

If using Windows 2000 - IIS5
- the {Server}\ASPNET User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

If using Windows 2003 - IIS6
- the NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

I just did a clean install of DNN 4.3.3 and getting this nasty error. Of course I already gave ASPNET user full rights to the DNN folder but it doesn't help...

Any help?

I had an identical problem with the 4.3.2 starter kit. It was solved by assigning Full Control to 'NETWORK SERVICE' to the DNN Root folder. Courtesy of this post.

I have read that thread already and I certainly sure I am using the right sqluser login and password (full rights tho that DB) and I am still receiving the same error on the logs

I tried installing a earlier version (4.0.3) and I get the same error. I tried installing it in different servers (2000, 2003) and all is the same.

I have a version 3 running withou any problem in the same box and in the same SQL Server
