Hi,

I am trying to upgrade a hosting script installed 4.0.2 version to 4.3.3.  I have altered the web.config database statements and the encrypt decrypt keys, but after ftp'ing the upgrade files and adding the modified web.config file I get a runtime error.

I have completed the following steps 3 times with the same result each time:

1) backed up the web.config file.
2) backed up the database file.
3) deleted the dotnetnuke directory.
4) recreated the directory.
5) run the install script located in the hosts free .net applications.
6) browse to the website to activate the dotnetnuke install script.
7) restore the database file.
8) restore the web.config file.
9) confirm the website is working. (it always works at this point.)
10) copy/replace all files/directories using the dotnetnuke upgrade download.
11) copy modified web.config file to replace the 4.02 web.config file.
12) browse to site to activate upgrade script. (this always fails with the runtime error.)

I would sure appreciate any help anyone has to offer.

My hosting provider has provided the following feedback:

Compiler Error Message: BC30451: Name 'Config' is not declared.

Source Error:
Line 66:
Line 67: Dim AutoUpgrade As Boolean
Line 68: If Config.GetSetting("AutoUpgrade") Is Nothing Then
Line 69: AutoUpgrade = True
Line 70: Else

Source File: c:\hosting\App_Code\Global.asax.vb Line: 68
It seems that your dnn Global.asax.vb missed some variable.
Could you please try to reinatall your dnn from our control panel free .net plug in and have a try again? Thanks.
