Hello all,

I am a bit new to making websites and very new to DNN so if this is a stupid question I apologize.  I have used the auto installation of DNN from go daddy on a hosting account I set up yesterday.  I made a test page and named it the home page but when I visit my site in my browser it says this:

THIS WEBSITE IS COMING SOON

If you are the owner of this web site you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, Click here for upload info.

The page will only show up if I visit the virtual directory I installed DNN in.  Do I have to setup some sort of redirect with my domain for people to just type in my domain name and it just goes to the home page like a normal site.  I tried naming the page to index and that doesnt work neither.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Hi,

I resell Godaddy's products at my web site www.atlanticdomains.net so I'm familiar with your issue. You are right; you need to forward people to the installation directory. The easiest way would be to use domain forwarding (you get a free credit for this when you register your domain). Another way is to create a 301 Redirect Page. Do NOT use "JavaScript" or a "Meta Refresh Tag" they are: not search engine friendly, slower, and commonly used by spammers.

Good luck,
