I'm running Windows Server 2k3 with IIS, .Net 2.0, SQL Express installed. I renamed release.config to web.config. And set the proper permissions. I'm trying to install 4.3.4 but i just get this error:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
And I'm not crazy:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

What should I do??

I didn't realize imageshack resized that so small...The first pic says:

DotNetNuke Configuration Error

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

DotNetNuke has extensive file upload capabilities for content, modules, and skins. These features require custom security settings so that the application is able to create and remove files in your website.

Using Windows Explorer, browse to the root folder of the website ( C:\DotNetNuke by default ). Right-click the folder and select Sharing and Security from the popup menu ( please note that if you are using Windows XP you may need to Enable Simple File Sharing before these options are displayed ). Select the Security tab. Add the appropriate User Account and set the Permissions.

If using Windows 2000 - IIS5
- the {Server}\ASPNET User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

If using Windows 2003 - IIS6
- the NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

In Advanced... in the DNN folder's permissions for NETWORK SERVICE, is it setup to propagate those permissions.  Allow inheritable permissions from the parent to propagate to this object and all child objects...  I think Shaun Walker mentions it in his book and it's possibly in the install docs.  I couldn't see the image that links to imageshack for some reasons.  Could you paste the text in the forum?

I'm having a similar problem and I can't understand what to do. I've even given NETWORK SERVICE full control of the damn folder but still... And I've got the book and it says not much more then the documentation. I really need help here.

And I don't get a fancy DontNetNuke errormessage (don't know why either), but the 'ol IIS errormessage:

Security Exception

Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy.  To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file.

The permissions are all set correctly on my dnn install folder. Is there something other than just permission settings that could cause this error??
