I recently upgraded to 4.3.4 from 4.3.3 which was from 4.0.3.  I can no longer add a new Portal and get the error "Error Creating Portal."  I see some other threads on this, but nothing that gives me confidence that a real fix is in the works.  Some have suggested scripts (e.g. http://dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1075/Default.aspx) and I have tried them, but even after running the scripts, I still get the same error.   Does anyone know anymore on this issue?

Oddly enough, I attempted to create a new portal this morning, and was able to do so.  I ran the update script last night and got no where.  Did nothing new this morning.  Very strange, but... oh well.

I had the same issue.  I ran the scripts and still had errors until I cleared the cache through host settings and modified and re-uploaded my web.config so it forced the .NET application to reload and it fixed the problem right away.
