Error upgrading from 3.1.1 to 4.3.4, lost all users password. Including host. And I can not get into the host control tab any more.

Anyone having the same problem?

I tried to retrieve host password by email, but email shows password is 'xxxxxx', does not mean anything.

I also tried to modify database directly, and only managed to reset all users password except host password.

Anyone have an idea how to retrieve host password?

Cheers.

if you have access to a backup of your site brfore the update, get the encryption keys, connection string and object qualifier from it and enter them into the current web.config. If this doesn't help, you need to create a new account and copy passwort and passwort salt in aspnet_membership from new account to host account.

Cheers from Germany,
