I can access my DNN site on the machine I installed it on.... http://localhost/DNN

But, I can't access it on my loacal network from  a differnect machine. The error is: "Page cannot be displayed"

Please advise,

you need to add machinename/DNN as portal alias. Log in as host, go to portoals in host menu and add the portal alis to the bottom of your portal's description

Thanks for your reply, however:

MachineName/alias    doen't work.

I can use the server ip address as an alias: 192.168.2.97

I can use my machine name as an alias: dune

But using the alias,  dune/test  or dune/dnn  doen't work.

I saw another post that commented that the "alias table" need to be changed from localhost/dnn to machineName/dnn or something like that.

Second problem:

I'm using SQL express, it new to me. Using the SQL Server Manager, I can see my database (DNN) but the DNN tables are not shown, though they must be there.

It won't allow me to access the SQL Query Designer either. Are these tools that must be unlocked somehow?

When using SQL 2000, I could browse the table without a problem, is this something particular to SQL Express?
