I've installed and developed our club website based on the Starter Kit.  The site is on my laptop and now I'm trying to figure out how to get it onto our web server.

What do I need to have installed on the server as prerequsites and what is the best method to get the site running.

Thanks

I've been working at this for the past two weeks and I have not made any progress.
I developed a DNN 4.3.5 site base on the starter kit using VWD 2005 express and SQL Server 2005 Express on my XP workstation.  Now I want to publish my site onto SBS 2003.
SBS has a public facing html web page that can be accessed from the internet no problem.  SBS server is fully patched and up-to-date SP1 and hot fixes etc..

Since VWD Express does not have "publish" capability, I used the copy method that is built in.  I get the files transferred and IIS "sees" them and that looks good.  I have SQL Server 2005 Express installed on the SBS server and it is in mixed mode for authentication.
When I browse from the internet to dev.mysite.com, the web server apparently redirects to http://localhost:1613/dnn_website1 and obviously, page cannot be displayed error.
I have several classic .asp web sites in production and I just don't understand what I'm missing here.

Thanks in advance...

Add a new portal alias (http://dev.mysite.com) on your local setup.

gerrr...

Problem solved.  I read through all the install notes over and over, and tested and tested.  Never once did I go into the configuration as a possibility to solve this.

Thank you for getting me on the right track.
Vince
