Hello everyone,

I am having some serious problems installing DotNetNuke.
I have downloaded and installed version: 3.3.5 on a Windows 2000 workstation running SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition.
I have followed the installation instructions in the attached documentation.

When I try to surf to http://localhost/dotnetnuke I receive the following error:

Error Installing DotNetNuke
Current Assembly Version: 03.03.05
ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

I have searched the net and found hundreeds of posts regarding this perticular error without finding an solution.
This is my last hope that you guys might have a clue about this problem.

The connection string looks like this:

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=194.68.136.92;Database=DotNetNuke;uid=myuser;pwd=mysecretpassword;" />

Please advice, I am totaly lost.

Make sure you are using the "2" correct sql connection strings in the web.config file.  Did you use the install kit or manually like http://localhost/dotnetnuke/install/install.aspx?mode=install

?

Try posting the webconfig here so I can see it if this doesnt work.
