Hi,

I'm doing a manual install of DNN 4.3.5 on GoDaddy hosting and I receive the following error:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

I've made this change, and re-uploaded web.config, but the error remains unchanged.

I've seen the thread on manual installs on Go Daddy but without knowing what errors are happening, I've got no insight on where to troubleshoot.

Any ideas on why the errors are not being displayed properly?

I did have specific errors produced before which spoke about access access rights which were resolved by creating folders and folder permissions through Go Daddy's Directory Management tool. Since making those changes I've been stuck on this phantom error without being able to use the solution noted above to be able to see what the actuaal error is.

Any clues or hints?

Thanks,

Steve
