hi suthngin,

 

yes its a fresh install.  I dont know what the stack trace is telling me....

I am new to VS so I am unfamiliar with this error....

I would like to know where this error is occuring because when I try to run the default.aspx I get this error.  How can I tell where the probelm is occuring?

Well Joe I had the same problem in my install.  The manuals do not tell you that the SQL2000/2005 String is Commented out.  I posted a solution on the forum yesterday when I got mine installed.

HI Neadom,

 

I dont see the string you are referring to in the Default.aspx.  There was a sql string in the install part but I fixed that and got it to intall completely or so it seems but whe I run the default.aspx I get the object reference error.
