I can not tell you how many times I have tried to install DNN. I thought using this software would save me time from writing it myself. I am having my doubts!

Here is my current error during the install: Ideas??? I am trying to install 4.0.2 since I have failed miserably with 4.3.5.

00:00:36.437 -   Error: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.
00:00:36.468 -   Portal failed to install:

My ISP gave the permissions to as required by DNN. But I can't know for sure can I?

it looks like file system permissions are not set appropriate. plese refer to the installation guide.

I have a webfarm set up.  I've got 3 webservers, 1 fileserver.

I have numerous installs of DNN3.x running in the environment.

I have yet to successfully install a 4.x version.  Am running w2k, sql2000 - I'm getting the "same" issue on my boxes - even if I give EVERYONE full permissions.  ASP's got full permissions, etc - cascading through all dirs.

I'm lost.

You say your ISP?  If you are doing this on your local machine, then your ISP doesnt need to be involved.

If you have read the instructions then can you post those instructions describing what you did along side the instructions, then if we see any gaps we can help guide. you.
