Hi,

I just installed DotNetNuke, that is uploaded the files, created the database and the virtual directory, but when go to the default URL and expect the real installation to start, i get the following message:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

Login failed for user 'niels'.

I already checked that the loginname and password are correct, and i have also tried to delete the database and create it again, but none of it helps.

Can anyone help me??

Thanks!

/Niels

Did you add that user to that database, rather than just to the SQL server itself?

Hi Niels,

I had the same screen about 5 minutes ago so just in case you're missing the same thing as me.

If you're using SQL server 2000/2005 you need to uncomment the connectionstring for sql2000 and comment out the sqlexpress one.
