I am new to DNN.  Thanks to the Installer, I installed DNN4.3.5 in minutes.  I was directed to http://localhost/dotnetnuke

and got the message to click on admin tab, but the page doesnt have admin tab at ll!  What did I miss? any help is appreciated

The Admin tab is only visible to administrator logins. You need to log in using the Admin account - by default it is Admin, pwd: admin.

I have the same problem, except the admin tab is still missing after I login with admin/admin. After logging in, I'm redirected back to the home page without the admin tab. It may not be actually logging me in because I still see a login link in the header. Any thoughts on why this may be happening, or at least how to troubleshoot this? I'm new to DNN, so anything would be helpful. Thanks!

Has anybody solved this one?

I have the same issue, apparently I'm logged in but the Admin menu does not show. 

I also have the DotNetNuke websiteas a subfolder of the main site which has its own web.config file.
