Sebastian,

Verified the the Portals folder (and actually all folders) have;

NETWORK SERVICE;
Permission = Full Control
Inherited from C:/webapps/domainname
Apply to = This Folder, subfolders and files

I then Sync'd using 'Recursive' in both the Admin File Manager and the Host File Manager.

Without change.

It's as if DNN does not to allow file manager access to any directory other than the active /Portals with the exception of allowing Modules to write to the DesktopModules and Bin folders (which are successful).

I have a about 100 DNN sites running on W2000, SQL 2000 and IIS5 using DNN 4.3.5 and none are having this issue.

Pat,

I am running out of ideas. my last suggestion: check table Folders for orphaned or misformed entries.

I think what leupold means here is when logged on to DNN, go to Admin | File Manager and see that permissions are set for the proper roles to be able to edit the folder. This is not the same as disk NTFS privileges but rather privileges managed in DNN itself.

Hey pmichael,

Thanks for the assist,

The problem is that the ony folder available via Admin/File Manager is the 'Portal Root' folder for the skin I installed (0)

When I view Host/File Manager the only directory is the 'Host' folder

I do not have any other directory access via DNN.

I can install skins and modules but do not seem to have access to any other DNN/Root directory.

Any other thoughts?

Pat
