Hi,

I have just upgraded my installation and now all old logins (including host/admin) respond with a password mismatch message. The "forgot password" reminder only responds: "There was an error retrieving your password. No password was sent."

But: I can register new users with no problem and those logins work (including password reminder). Nevertheless: I need my host login back.

I took a quick look at the asp_ membership tables and the DNN User tables and I can not see any obvious difference between the records of newly created accounts and migrated logins.

TIA for any hint in this!

Regards
Tim

First thing is to check that you copied over your MachineValidation and MachineDecription key from your previous web.config

If you still can't login with the old password after that, then you can use the password and passwordsalt from the newly registered user, just copy those values to the host user and you can login with that password.

I'm having the same issue after upgrading to 4.3.6. However, the issue that I am seeing is that I receive the following error message whenever I try to login as Host...

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Input string was not in a correct format. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserProfile.get_TimeZone() at DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserTime.get_ClientToServerTimeZoneFactor() at DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserTime.get_CurrentUserTime() at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.CurrentDate.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I verified that I have the same Validation and Encryption keys in my web.config and I even created a new registered user and modifed the Host Password and password salt in the membership table with the new users information and I still get thesame error.

Any ideas what I should do next?
