I'm just read to start developing my site with DNN but I've encountered a problem installing DNN on my machine, which runs XP Home. Is this because XP Home does not support IIS? Any help gratefully received.

Best regards,

Andy Lyon.

Andy,

You are exactly correct in your question.

However, you can run DNN on a local, Windows XP Home setup.  To do it, just use the Cassini Web Server 2.0 .  It's free and very easy to use in the context of DotNetNuke.  I have a site at dnncassini .c o m if you would like assistance.

I use DNN with Cassini at home, to develop my DNN sites and then bring them up to "live" status when they are ready.

Also, there is a page available here to get Cassini working with DotNetNuke 4.0.2.  You can google that.

Thanks,
Travis
