Don't call " http://localhost/DNN437/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade%20directly"

Call "
http://localhost/DNN437/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade"

The word "directly" was modifying the URL in that sentence; it was not a part of the URL.

Yes I did update the web.config.

I've been doing some testing.  I made a fresh install of 3.2.2 and was able to successfully upgrade it to 4.3.7.

I'll go back an try my old 3.2.2 upgrade again, this time removing they very few web.config settings I have - like using the Telerik editor.  I'll let you know if I can localize the problem.

Thanks,
Wylie

Thanks for the pointer ;-)

Unfortunuately that didn't do the trick either.  I'm looking further into possible problems with my original 3.2.2 codebase.  I'll get back when I find anything.

Thanks,
Wylie

Hi Folks,

I've still been working on this but don't have much to report.  I turned search indexing off when I noticed it was running in the background but this didn't make any difference.

I did notice that my compilation error is actually different than the one which started this thread.  Here is my error:

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: BC30456: 'ExecuteScript' is not a member of 'Upgrade'.

I was able to upgrade to 3.3.7 OK.  But I still get the error message above when I try to upgrade to 4.3.7.
