  I just finished clean install of DotNetNuke_4.3.7_Install.zip on my comp. (XP Pro with last patches). I did everything like written in install manual. Installation went OK but then I tried to logon (usr: admin psw: dnnadmin) to start building my site and entered admin credentials this error message shows up:

Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

I'm not using Web Farm or cluster and here it is my configuration: MS SQL Server 2005Express, IIS v5.1, Macromedia Studio v.8 and ASP.NET v.2.0.50727.

I did look numerous forums but I couldn’t find solution for this problem. I'm stack here now. Could you please help me on this?

I've encountered this as well. running 3.3.5 on ASP.NET 2.0.  The site had been running fine for a while, but a few weeks ago things started going south (not long after putting it in to production use...).

I'm running on a Windows shared hosting environment.

Not related to issue, but if you are just now installing a clean install of DNN, download the latest version 4.4.0 which contains a few enhancements and a bunch of performance improvements.
