Hi All,

I've no problem install to my local PC with XP SQL 2005 for DNN 4.3.7. However, when using remote SQL 2000 & Windows 2003 Server connection string, I can get "install success" message with much short installation process messages, time and no main page contents display. I check the module DropDownList in header, there are only 5 Modules available to allow you add-on: Account Login, Banners, Search Input, Search Results and User Account. Is there anything wrong?

Local PC/XP SQL 2005:

Remote W2003 Server & SQL 2000:

name="SiteSqlServer"
connectionString="Server=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;initial catalog=DotNetNuke4;uid=myid;pwd=weijin;Persist Security Info=True;"
providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

during first installation, module packages contained in /install/modules get deleted, you need to reunpack them, when you try to create a second site from the same unzipped files.

I think your problem has nothing to do with the environment. This is what is probably happening:

When you installed to your local PC you used a fresh download of the DNN 4.3.7 Install package. This installs DNN and all the core modules. The core modules are installed from ZIP files in the /Install/Modules folder. After the core modules are successfully installed, the ZIP files are automatically deleted from the /Install/Modules folder.

Then when you installed on your remote server, you didn't use a fresh download of the DNN 4.3.7 Install package. For some reason there were no ZIP files in the /Install/Modules folder (maybe you reused a DNN folder that had been used before to do an install and therefore the ZIP files had been automatically deleted). This means that the core modules do not get installed. The only modules you will see are the Account Login, Banners, Search Input, Search Results and User Account which are always installed and have no ZIP in the /Install/Modules folder.
