In order to support a DNN website I've inherited, I'm trying to setup a local copy on my machine. I installed the starter kit (DotNetNuke_4.3.7_StarterKit.vsi), compiled and ran it, loaded personal assemblies, modified the web.config file to point to local resources, added company class libraries and references but now when I try to compile I get:

Error 102 Name 'DisplayControl' is not declared. C:\MyWebSite\admin\Containers\DropDownActions.ascx.vb 103

It looks like I am missing a reference but it looks like it's a basic part of DNN. Is there something wrong with my installation? I see the file DropDownActions.ascx.vb in the admin\Containers folder but I don't see a declaration in there for DisplayControl. How does one figure out where this is coming from?

Thanks!

I resolved my own problem. The version of dotnetnuke.dll was different after I loaded the PAs or after I added the references to the class libraries. I copied the dotnetnuke.dll from a new project to my project and the error went away.
