Came across another possible bug. When using the copy page function and choosing "Copy" for each of the modules it seems like it's doing a reference instead. Also in the case of some modules, after the copy the original config of the module is being messed up. I went back to a 4.3.7 version of the site and the copy page seems to work fine.

I tryed to reproduce using the default home page, it worked like a charm. Which modules are you using on that page? Does it happen to every page copy?

Hmmm. Do modules need to support IPortable for module copy to work correctly? But what's weird is that in 4.3.7 the same page being copied worked fine according to our dev. I'll have to do some more investigation. The two modules consisted of an "Advanced Announcements" module from snowcovered and a custom written links module.

Ok, I had some time today to look into this further. I assume by now this bug is known and being worked on for the 4.4.1 release but I'll explain it here anyway for anyone else.

Clean install of DNN 4.4.0. Did not add any modules, etc. Click "Add Page". Give "All Users" view permission. Called page "Copy Test". Selected "Home" page as page to copy from and selected "Copy" for each of the modules. Go to "Copy Test" and rename the title of the "Welcome" module (not sure if you need to do this to see the bug but these were my steps). Go back to home page. The home page "Welcome" title is still its original. Now try to edit any module on the home page using the module menu, etc. You get a blank DNN page. Everything between the menu in footer is gone. But editing on the "Copy Test" page works fine. This happened with a clean install first time but according to one of my clients it may be intermittent as he was supposedly able to copy 6 pages before this happened. I'm guessing he may not have tried doing an edit on the original page after copying. Can someone please confirm this bug or let me know that it's a known issue. Thanks.

Experiencing this exact issue on a new 4.4.1 install.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the tooltip:

"...specify if you want to create a New module ( without content ), a Copy of the module ( with content ), or a Reference to an existing module ( shared content ). "

I expected that COPYING the the module (with content) would give me a unique, independent module with the identical content as the original. Trying to edit this copied module (I was using a "links" module) results in the aforementioned misdirection to a blank page... and the module cannot be deleted.

Had to delete the page.

**edit upon rereading... I cannot be sure if it was the copied module- or the original that was misbehaving (shadowing changed content, refusing to be deleted, misdirecting to blank page)
